Shipping policy
Delivery Charges
We will always aim to dispatch all off-the-shelf orders within 2-3 working days, however if you have a requirement for a faster delivery service, please contact us hello@thefinerycompany.co and we will see if we can meet your requirements!
For bespoke or custom/personalised orders, we will dispatch items based on a longer lead time. For Semi-custom orders, once we have received your order, expect to receive proofs for approval within 3 working days. On approval, we then work to a 7-12 day lead time to dispatch your order. For fully bespoke orders we will communicate with you directly about this, due to the more complex nature of the design and sign off process. Unfortunately, sometimes our timing may vary due to circumstances beyond our control, but we will always stay in touch and keep you informed about your status.
Shipping
At The Finery Company, each order is carefully prepared and packed to ensure it arrives beautifully and safely.
We currently ship within the UK using Royal Mail. Delivery options and costs are shown at checkout, based on the items in your order.
Delivery options
Saver shipping - £1
Available for single greeting card orders.
Sent via Royal Mail 2nd Class. This service usually takes 2–3 working days from dispatch.
Please note, this is not a tracked service.
Express card shipping - £3.50
Available for single greeting card orders.
Sent via Royal Mail 1st Class. This service usually aims to arrive the next working day from dispatch.
Please note, this is not a guaranteed or tracked service.
Standard delivery - £3.50
Available for larger card, stationery, and small parcel orders.
Sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48. This service usually takes 2–3 working days from dispatch and includes tracking.
Free UK delivery over £50
We offer free standard UK delivery on orders over £50.
These orders are usually sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48.
Custom, bespoke and wedding stationery orders
Shipping for custom, bespoke and wedding stationery orders is quoted separately.
Due to the value and nature of these orders, we usually send them via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1pm, which includes full tracking and signature on delivery.
The shipping cost will be confirmed as part of your bespoke quote or invoice.
Dispatch times
Ready-to-ship items are usually dispatched within the timeframe shown on the product page.
Personalised, semi-custom, custom and bespoke orders have longer production times. These will be confirmed before your order is printed or produced.
Delivery times begin from the date your order is dispatched, not the date your order is placed.
Tracking
Where a tracked service is used, tracking details will be provided once your order has been dispatched.
Saver and Express card shipping are sent using Royal Mail 2nd Class or 1st Class and do not include full tracking.
Delivery delays
Once your order has been dispatched, delivery times are handled by Royal Mail. While most orders arrive within the expected timeframe, occasional delays can happen, especially during busy seasonal periods, bank holidays, or disruption to postal services.
Please allow a little extra time during these periods.
Incorrect delivery details
Please check your delivery address carefully at checkout. We cannot be responsible for orders delayed or lost due to an incorrect or incomplete address being provided.
If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will do our best to help before dispatch.
Lost or delayed orders
If your order has not arrived within the expected timeframe, please get in touch and we will look into it for you.
For untracked services, we may need to allow the recommended Royal Mail delivery window before an order can be considered lost.
